Can you believe Fall is upon us again?! Just a couple of reminders from the City of Ilwaco:
*Sign up for auto-pay – Time passes quickly, signing up for auto-pay prevents late fees. To sign up for your City of Ilwaco water/sewer/stormwater bill to be paid through your checking account, fill this form out and mail (PO Box 548, Ilwaco, WA 98624) or bring into City Hall (120 First Ave N, Ilwaco) along with a voided blank check. If you’d like to sign up using a credit card, follow this link (remember when signing in to use your whole account # and only your house # (NOT the street name).
*Property clean up – Fall is the perfect time to get your property cleaned up and ready for winterizing. Trim back those bushes, rake up the leaves, make sure your yard is not encroaching on the public right-of-way (sidewalks and other public areas), make a dump run – your neighbors and the City thank you. The bonus is it will make for much easier spring cleaning for you! Here are two websites with Fall cleanup tips:
*October and November are sewer averaging months. Conserve water now to save $$ for the next 6 months (next averaging is April and May).
*Halloween is a big deal around here! Last year, the Fire Department clocked in around 700 trick-or-treaters!! This creates a huge “candy burden” for those living in the downtown core area. To help offset the cost to those affected, the Ilwaco Merchants Association puts on a candy drive every year. If you’d like to donate candy, you can drop bags off at City Hall or check out the IMA’s Facebook page for more info.
